Coming out of Lockdown

Welcome to Call of Beauty’s first ever blog, now more than ever it feels important to try to stay in touch with our lovely clients and try to keep everyone up to date with our latest information. It is our intention to try to regularly write a blog.

In March, much like the rest of the country we decided to close the salon in preparation for Boris’s closure of businesses to keep everyone safe from Coronavirus. We did as we were told and stayed at home, but we have certainly stayed busy.

Among a very long list of jobs and activities Max has been working hard creating some really very beautiful Crystal and Pearl jewelry creations, some of which are on display now in the salon and online at www.crystalandpearls.co.uk

Andrew has been recreating the salon website, Lydia and Nicole have been concentrating on education, both of them completing several online learning courses.

As things started relaxing and the kids returned to school Lydia, Andrew and Max created a little work bubble and started getting the salon ready to start welcoming clients back. Some of the jobs you won’t notice but will make the salon move much smoother. Others have been very big, exciting jobs, we now have a radiator in the spray tan room and in Lydia’s treatment room. Andrew also drove to Bolton and back to collect our new star buy, a wonderful spray tan booth with extraction fans. We’ve also given the salon a lick of paint and re-glossed all the doors grey.

We did have much more in the pipeline but very luckily we were given the go ahead to reopen to clients. As the salon was in a slight state of disarray this came as a bit of a shock to us especially as they only gave us a very unexpected three days notice.

Mostly we have tirelessly worked through all our work processes trying to work out which additional steps we can add in to improve cleanliness and reduce any risk of accidentally spreading the virus. All staff at the salon will be wearing a visor for all except hand nail treatments which is now being performed behind perspex screens.
